海角论坛 values the work and life learning that students bring with them to higher education. 海角论坛’s degrees and certificates are based upon clearly defined outcomes and competencies as designed, approved, and assessed by faculty. We use PLA to assess college-level learning that students have gained through independent intellectual pursuits, training and education programs from work, and through life experiences. We award students college credit based on their ability to demonstrate prior college-level learning as applicable toward satisfying 海角论坛 degree or certificate requirements for the student’s declared major; this way, students can enter into the appropriate phase of their program of study at 海角论坛. Not all courses provide a PLA option.
